Office Updates

Greetings,

We wanted to update you and let you know that masks are still required in our office for the safety of everyone, including those high at risk. Scheduled patients are the only ones that may enter and since our doors are still locked, please give us some time to answer the door or give us a call and we will open it for you.

Since we are regulating the number of patients we can have in our office at once, contacts or glasses can be picked up either curbside or by scheduled appointment only.

Please have your insurance information available when scheduling an eye appointment, thank you!

Thank you, for your cooperation,
Dr. Determan, Dr. Glover, and Staff of Yuma Vision Center

COVID-19: Updated Office Schedule & More

Yuma Vision Center Updates

At this time, we continue to adhere to CDC recommendations and state of AZ guidelines as it pertains to healthcare with your continued health and safety as our main concern. Therefore, we encourage everyone to wear masks; for the safety of our patients, staff, and their families. Social distancing will be a part of our lives moving forward. The front door remains locked at this time, but we welcome you to our office; please call 928-782-7557 or knock-on the door for assistance. Our preference is to have just the patient in the office; however, we understand that often a patient needs assistance.

Please let the Front Desk know if you will be accompanying the patient into the Clinic area. If you will be choosing new glasses or ordering contact lenses, please be seated in the waiting room and wait for the Optician to call you to their work station. Once there, they will outline a few guidelines and proceed to choose your eyewear. We welcome the opportunity to provide quality eyewear to you and your family.

We appreciate all the positive feedback regarding Contact Lens deliveries being done curbside. Due to the infamous Yuma summers, we will continue to bring contact lenses to your vehicle if desired. Please call the office at 928-782-7557 and let them know you are waiting. Curbside Glasses deliveries will continue; however, if you prefer to be fitted in the Optical area; call the office at 928-782-7557 and let us know.

The optical staff appreciates the patients wearing their masks during glasses dispensing. Thank you for understanding and Yuma Vision Center is proud to be your primary eye care
provider!

Stay healthy and safe

COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update from Yuma Vision Center
To Our Valued Patients:

At Yuma Vision Center our decisions revolve around the health, well-being and safety of our patients and staff. Therefore, we owe it to our patients, staff and the community of Yuma to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.

Last week the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mandated all eye care professionals to stop seeing “routine” eye exams. Friday, March 20th, was our last day for routine care. We plan to reopen on Monday, April 6th. We will keep you posted if this date needs to change as determined by the CDC.

Beginning Monday, March 23rd, we will be available to current and new patients if they have an eye urgency or eye emergency. Our hours will likely fluctuate and we ask you to please call (928) 782-7557 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to schedule your urgent appointment. Outside of those hours, please call and listen to the voicemail for instructions.

To help with “social distancing”, we will have the door locked. Please call (928) 782-7557 upon arrival. In order to comply with CDC regulations, the staff member will allow only the patient to enter the office. Exceptions will be a minor accompanied by a parent or a patient accompanied by the caretaker.

Glasses and contact lens orders will be dispensed curbside if desired. Again, please call the office and we will arrange something to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Please call (928) 782-7557 for more information.
Stay healthy, be safe, and hope to see you soon.
