PROJECT DETAILS

  • Details: Eye exams for children play an important part in ensuring normal vision development, which has been proven to affect the academic performance of all kids. Vision has been proven to directly affect the learning process of children. Children who have trouble seeing, or interpreting what they see, will often have trouble with their schoolwork. If your child performs poorly at school or exhibits a reading or learning disability, be sure to have his or her eyes examined by an eye doctor who specializes in children’s vision to rule out an underlying visual cause. Also, ask questions. As adults we expect someone to know when something is wrong. However, most children will not complain of vision problems simply because they do not know what “normal” vision looks like. Think of it like missing something you have never had. If all you have ever known is poor vision, then you would not notice any difference.
